Any styles that you don't accept?

Our merchandisers curate our collection based on what our community loves (see latest Style Guide).

To help us sell your items faster, we kindly ask that you leave out styles that don't match local demand. We are currently not accepting:

  • Form-fitting: Skinny jeans, pencil skirts, bodycon dresses
  • Business basics: Plain black blazers, skirts and pants
  • Revealing: Corsets, bralettes
  • Formal: Evening wear, gowns, sequins, lace, cutout embroidery
  • Accessories: Unknown costume jewellery, sunglasses
What happens to unaccepted items?

You will need to collect them on the same day when you drop off. Kindly note, due to limited storage, we can't store them overnight. Uncollected items will be donated to Save the Children.

How much will I earn?

You will earn between 15% to 60% of the selling price (excluding GST). The higher value the item, the more you keep.

Do you buy outright?

SwapUp is a consignment store. We sell your items on your behalf, and you will get paid when your item is sold.

What happens to unsold items?

If you sold online, you have 14 days after expiry date to either:

  • Pick your items at our warehouse in Artarmon, NSW, or
  • Get your items sent back to you ($5 handing per item plus shipping), or
  • Leave them with us.

If you sold in-store, either:

  • Pick up your items any day before the expiry date, or
  • Leave them with us.

Items left behind become the property of SwapUp and may be included in charity donations, community engagement programs, bulk resale or new location launches without further notice. We have introduced this due to the large volume of pieces that can be left behind, as well as our limited storage capacity.
